POSITION DIETITIAN AND NUTRITIONIST

With 6 clinics in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City and Danang, our multi-national team of physicians come from the US, Canada, Israel, France, Belgium, Italy, Switzerland, the UK, Japan, Philippines, Australia, Vietnam, and Argentina. Together, they provide exceptional health care and emergency medical evacuations to the expatriate and Vietnamese community. The number of patients at our clinics has increased significantly over the past five years and continues to rise.
 
Job Descriptions

Plan and conduct food service or nutritional programs to assist in the promotion of health and control of disease. Responsible for the medical nutrition therapy of patient/residents; nutritional assessment, nutrition care plans, patient visitation, inpatient/outpatient diet counseling, consults regarding advance nutrition support, as well as assist in other areas related to the food and nutrition services


Dietitians work on a group and an individual basis with patients of all ages. Responsibilities include:

 

• Provides diet consultations as ordered by physicians. Consult with physicians and health care personnel to determine nutritional needs and diet restrictions of patient or client to deliver quality nutrition care


• Visits and advises patients with special dietary needs. Assess nutritional needs, diet restrictions and current health plans to develop and implement dietary-care plans and provides nutritional counseling.


• Develops nutrition care plans and monitoring patient response to care plan developed


• Performs nutritional assessments and nutrition screens, which are appropriate and timely per established policies and procedure.


• Educates health professionals and the public about nutrition. Advise patients and their families on nutritional principles, dietary plans and diet modifications, and food selection and preparation.


• Helps people come to terms with their illnesses and to facilitate dietary changes. Counsel individuals and groups on basic rules of good nutrition, healthy eating habits, and nutrition monitoring to improve their quality of life.


• Develops policies for food service or nutritional programs to assist in health promotion and disease control.


• Establishes and addressing key health needs

• Keeps thorough and updated information on patient profile sheets.


• Instructs outpatient, teaches classes and conducts in-services, as required.


• As requested participates in teaching for community education classes or participates in health fairs


• Performs other job related duties as assigned by the Manager related to food & nutrition

 

 

Job Requirements

 

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nutrition/Dietetics in overseas required.

 

• Minimum two (2) years experience in acute care hospital


• Good organizational and interpersonal skills


• Strong oral and written communication skills


• Fluent in English (writing, speaking, listening)


• Employee must demonstrate basic computer skills
