ホーチミン市滞在２日目の朝。喉の痛みが酷い。せっかくベトナム料理を堪能しようと思っていたが、食べ物を飲み込むことができない。早朝7時過ぎに予約なしでファミリーメディカルに行く。受診は８時過ぎということで、登録・問診フォームを記入し、真向かいにあるカフェで時間を潰す。８時に戻ると、すぐに看護師が血圧や体温測定をしてくれる。その後すぐに医師を受診し、検査。院内に検査ラボがあるので、３０分程度で結果が出る。結果は扁桃炎。院内の薬局にて処方薬を受け取り、９時半にはホテルに戻る。行ってから戻るまで、所要時間はたったの２時間。感動した。おかげで、引き続き旅行を楽しむことができる。
