Her career has so far seen her work in the Emergency Rooms of the busy Santa Rosa Hospital and Medical Center and the Los Banos Medical Center, as well as at the Holland America Line.

She received her Doctor of Medicine at De La Salle University in the Philippines, and completed her Residency in Emergency Medicine at the Philippine General Hospital. She speaks English and Tagalog.
